Powered by air, yet powerfully holds a workpiece.
It is suitable for machining with an automated facility and 5-axis machining center and automatic transfer with a robot.

Air sensing option (model WNC-M) which enables action confirmation at contact with a workpiece, is newly added to High-Power Pneumatic Work Support (model WNC).

Centering Vise (model FVD) is a large slide block model
with high locating repeatability. Selectable from "high
power model" and "long stroke model".

The video shows locating repeatability testing of
a workpiece when clamped repeatedly measuring
with a non-contact sensor.

5-Face Machining and Compact Fixture
Possible with Pneumatic Hole Clamp

Fixture with pneumatic hole clamp, expansion locating
pin and work support for clamping a thin workpice.

No interference above or on the side of the workpiece
enables five-face machining. Fixture is compact with
excellent draining of coolant and cutting chips because
clamps are all set under the workpiece.

In case of standard locating pin: when a gap between pin and workpiece hole is small, it is hard to load/unload, but when a gap is large, accuracy becomes low. Expansion locating pin enables easy loading/unloading with high accuracy. (Pneumatic model VWH, Hydraulic model VFH)
